Catatan penyusun
One of the few classic pondok in Sabah. A 2009 Borneo Islamic Development Seminar paper (Najahudin Lateh & Siti Noorbiah Md Rejab) says it was founded 30 July 1991 on 6 acres of waqf land given by a muallaf family (Aling bin Pilang), MUIS approval 24 Jan 1992, male students only, umumi (kitab) and nizami streams, chairman Mohd Aminuddin bin Aling; it gives the land as Kampung Bugaron Rosok. A 2012 Pusat Pembangunan Pondok post instead describes a pondok of this name opened about 2010 by Ustaz Salahuddin of Pulai Chondong (Kelantan) on 3 acres, with male and female students, following the Kelantan pondok syllabus. The sources conflict on founder, founding year, site and gender; founding year given is from the academic paper. Named in March 2026 among five Sabah institutions receiving a RM1.525m federal allocation. Published phone is a mobile number, omitted.
